MTF Project Tracker App – Privacy Policy

This policy explains how MTF Logistics Pty Ltd (“MTF”, “we”, “us”) handles personal information in the MTF Project Tracker mobile app for Android and iPhone, and in the MTF Projects cargo tracking portal at portal.mtflogistics.com.au. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

Who the app is for

MTF Project Tracker is for business customers of MTF Logistics. Accounts are created only by MTF, by invitation. The app is not intended for children.

What we collect

• Account details: your name and work email address, which MTF sets up when your account is created, and your password. Passwords are stored only in encrypted (hashed) form, so we cannot read them.
• Sign-in session: when you sign in, the app stores a secure session token on your device so that you stay signed in. The token expires after 7 days, or when you sign out.
• Security records: failed sign-in attempts are recorded so that repeated wrong passwords can be locked out temporarily. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP address and time of request, for security and troubleshooting.

The shipment information you see in the app, such as containers, deliveries, pallets and proof-of-delivery status, is business freight data that MTF manages for your company. It is not collected from your device.

What we do not do

• We do not use advertising, analytics or tracking tools in the app.
• We do not access your location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone.
• We do not sell or rent personal information.
• We do not track you across other apps or websites.

How we use your information

We use your details only to let you sign in, to show you the shipments for the projects your company has access to, to keep your account secure, and to contact you about your account or your freight.

Who we share it with

We share your information only with the service providers needed to run the app:

• Fly.io, which hosts the portal server and database in its Sydney, Australia region.
• Google Fonts, which supplies the typefaces the app displays. Your device requests them directly from Google, which receives your IP address as part of that request.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it. All data is sent over encrypted HTTPS connections.

How long we keep it

We keep your account for as long as your company uses MTF’s tracking service. When access is no longer needed, we deactivate the account. On request, we will delete your account and personal details, unless we must keep a record by law.

Your choices and rights

You can change your password at any time from the key icon in the portal menu. You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to delete your account, by emailing us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days.

If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at www.oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
